Most of the time, Kusuo is selfless, willing to sacrifice his own happiness for others' sake. He was able to single-handedly raise Chiyo's favourability of Takeru from 54 to 95, and to raise Reita's of Arisu to 98 on a whim. Despite this, Kusuo is very adept at determining what people want and executing plans based on them. For example, Kusuo hiding from the other characters in the bathroom and Kusuo talking to Imu, knowing Kokomi would not like it. To avoid interactions, he tries to make other disinterested in him or avoid others as much as possible. He hates being the center of attention, is quite reserved, and rarely uses his voice, instead preferring to project his words via telepathy into the minds of others. However over the course of time, with having to hide his psychic powers from others and his abilities slowly ruining experiences for him, he started to close himself up. He was highly mischievous, such as making his parents look for him for 5 hours after he teleported, and smiled around others without a second thought.
Part of it was due to the fact that he was unaware of what his powers did, such as breaking a whack-a-mole machine in an arcade and thinking the machine was giving him praise. While in his female form, Kusuo goes under the name Kuriko (formerly Kusuko ). However, there are times he is forced to buy clothes since his mother has an interesting taste in clothing patterns. On his days off from school, he occasionally wears clothes that are sewn by his mother. During the days he has school, he wears the standard PK Academy uniform that all male students wear. Kusuo wears a control device on both sides of his head which are never removed unless it is absolutely necessary.
Kusuo was starred by Kento Yamazaki in the live action movie based on the series. In the beginning, he was always seen alone but as the story progresses he eventually gets along with his schoolmates, especially Riki Nendou and Shun Kaidou. His trademark appearance contains his green-tinted glasses and two pink antennas located slightly above each ear, which have the function of limiting his power. He usually tries to avoid getting into troublesome situations. Saiki Kusuo) is the main protagonist of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ Nan who has all kinds of psychic related abilities.
The psy kickers even took a train out in the middle of the night to help with a mystery quest, and they literally saved the world with the power of friendship! Like! I love that shit! It was really touching to see Nendou's unconditional acceptance of Saiki, to see Kaidou caring so much that Saiki is keeping secrets, to see Yumehara finally bolster up the courage to ask Kaidou out, to see that Saiko does care about everyone in the group. I appreciate that they show us so many different possibilities- Saiki can tell everyone, he can wait a while, he can suppress his powers, he can get them back (Reawakened.) Kind of a choose-your-own-adventure.īut whatever happens, he's still going to have his friends.I've grown to really love all these characters, because despite how silly they are, they have depth, and they're mostly good people.
